Ruská 87 in Vinohrady is a cross-city trip from Libeň, and it is better to know that up front. The usual route: tram 3 or 24 from U Kříže to Florenc, metro C to I. P. Pavlova, a tram to Ruská and about three minutes on foot. That is about 38–42 minutes door to door on a normal weekday, with two changes. By bike it is estimated at about 22–28 minutes, uphill towards Vinohrady.

Weigh that against what you save at home: no utility admin, no shared bathroom. If you also work part-time, Vysočany and Českomoravská with the O2 arena and business parks are about 16–18 minutes away by tram and metro B.

One fixed rent when your time belongs to the hospital

Medical timetables fill up fast: early mornings at the hospital, placements and, later on, shifts. At Kandertova the rent is one fixed monthly price in euro that already includes water, heating, electricity, waste and fibre internet up to 2 Gb/s. No utility contracts to set up, no year-end settlement, no admin, service or commission fees.

Rent is paid on the 1st of each month by bank transfer, and your contract, payments and requests are all in the online resident zone – easy to deal with between two ward rounds.

Your own kitchen for meal prep around shifts

Canteen food and late-night snacks get old quickly. Every studio has a fitted kitchen unit with hob, fridge, sink and extractor hood, so you can cook a batch on Sunday and take food along for a long day. In a twin studio you share the kitchenette with one person, not with a whole floor.

The laundry room with washers and dryers is in the house, and the lift takes you and your shopping to your floor.

Twin with a classmate: same timetable, shared costs

A twin studio works best with someone whose day looks like yours. Book together with a classmate from the Third Faculty and you leave at the same time, come back at similar hours and want quiet in the same exam weeks. A place in a Type 01 twin studio (20 m²) costs €570 per person (13 900 Kč); in the larger Type 02 (27.5 m²) it is €670 (16 400 Kč).

No classmate to share with? Ask us to match you – same gender by default, similar age and, where possible, a similar programme. You meet before you sign, and each resident has their own bed, desk and chair.

Moving in mid-year

Placements and blocks don't always line up with the first of the month, so contracts can start on the 1st or the 15th. If you start on the 15th, your first rent covers only the rest of that month. Move-in is tentatively planned from 1 December 2026; the exact date is confirmed in writing after the occupancy permit, and no rent is charged before that.

The remaining €800 of the deposit is due when you sign the lease, by 15 November 2026 (for later bookings, within 7 days of receiving the lease). Fourteen days before move-in, the first month is due and you upload proof of study and liability insurance. Then you pick a move-in slot, Monday to Saturday.
