A private studio for one student in Prague
At Rezidence Kandertova in Prague 8 – Libeň, a private studio for one student – the whole studio for you – costs €980 (23 900 Kč) a month for Type 01 (20 m²) or €1,090 (26 600 Kč) for Type 02 (27.5 m²), with all bills and fibre internet included. Each studio has its own kitchenette and bathroom, comes furnished and is brand-new after the 2022–2026 reconstruction. Single studios are currently offered on the 5th floor.
Why choose a private studio for one student in Prague
Living alone is about control over your own day. You study when it suits you, sleep through a morning without a lecture, take a late call with family in another time zone and cook whatever you like without negotiating fridge space. In exam season, the quiet is yours alone.
At Kandertova a single studio is a self-contained home rather than a room: the hall, the bathroom and the kitchenette are all behind your own door. You share only the house facilities, such as the laundry room, the storage room and the lift.
Type 01 vs Type 02: which single studio suits you
The house has two layouts with the same fit-out standard. Floor areas are measured according to Decree 366/2013 Coll.

What is inside the studio
The kitchen is a fitted SIKO Naturel unit, 180 × 60 × 92 cm in matt concrete and white-grey, with a hob, fridge, sink with mixer tap and a recirculating extractor hood. Floor-to-ceiling built-in wardrobes keep the room clear, and you get a bed with a mattress, a desk and a chair.
The private 2.8 m² bathroom has large-format RAKO tiles, a thermostatic rain shower with a 25 cm head in an 80 × 80 cm glass enclosure, an LED mirror cabinet, a vanity unit with drawers and a wall-hung WC. Acoustic triple glazing (39 dB) and motorised external aluminium blinds help keep the studio quiet and cool in summer, and fibre internet up to 2 Gb/s is ready when you arrive. Bring your bedding and personal things.
Living on the 5th floor of a rebuilt house
Single studios are currently offered on the 5th floor, with a new KONE lift to every floor. The house stands next to Pod Korábem park in Prague 8 – Libeň: AMBIS University is a 3-minute walk, the U Kříže tram stop 5 minutes on foot, Palmovka metro (line B) 11 minutes by public transport and Karlín about 15 minutes away.
Energy class PENB B, new insulation, triple glazing and a new boiler room keep running costs low – and every bill is already in the price, with no year-end settlement.
Price, deposit and your first payment
The deposit is €1,000 per studio and is refunded within 30 days after you move out. After you sign a short reservation agreement online you pay €200 of it as the reservation by bank transfer within 5 days; the remaining €800 follows when you sign the lease, by 15 November 2026 (for later bookings, within 7 days of receiving the lease), and the first month 14 days before move-in. For a Type 01 single studio that means €200 for the reservation, €800 with the lease and €980 before move-in. After that, rent is due on the 1st of each month by bank transfer – with no admin, service or commission fees.
Frequently asked questions
Is a Type 02 single studio available?
There are only five Type 02 studios in the house, one per floor, so availability is limited. Tell us your dates and we will check which studio we can hold for you.
Which floor are the single studios on?
Single studios are currently offered on the 5th floor. There is a lift to every floor.
Is the deposit the same as for a twin place?
Yes – €1,000 per studio, the same for a single studio and for a place in a twin studio. €200 of it is the reservation you pay after signing the reservation agreement.
Do I have to be a student to rent a single studio?
No. The studios are for students as well as expats and young professionals; 14 days before move-in you upload proof of study or work and your liability insurance.
