Who it is for

Accommodation for international students in Prague, booked from abroad step by step

Rezidence Kandertova in Prague 8 – Libeň is accommodation for international students in Prague that you can arrange entirely from home: apply online in about 3 minutes, sign online and secure a brand-new furnished studio – from €570 per person a month, all bills included – with a €200 reservation. Your visa letter is free within 5 working days of signing the lease, and we register you with the foreign police on move-in day.

Accommodation for international students in Prague: steps 1–4 from abroad

Choose Type 01 or Type 02, a twin place or a single studio, a start on the 1st or 15th of a month and a stay of 6–12 months. The application is free; for the contract you add your details, including your passport or ID number and a photo of it. Applying with a friend from home? Tell us and we keep you together.

Next you sign a short reservation agreement online by typing your name and pay the €200 reservation by bank transfer within 5 days – the first part of your deposit, not a fee. Once it arrives, a real person reserves a specific studio – or a bed in a twin studio – within 1 working day and sends you the lease, which you confirm with a code from your e-mail and sign on screen. The signature and the remaining €800 of the deposit are due by 15 November 2026 (for later bookings, within 7 days of receiving the lease); if you do not sign the lease, the €200 is kept.

The visa part: your accommodation letter and what if plans change

Once you have signed the lease, we issue a free official confirmation of accommodation in Czech and English within 5 working days – on paper for the embassy, or electronically if you apply in the Czech Republic. Please plan carefully: a refused visa or admission is not a reason for a refund – the only full refund is if we cannot provide the accommodation because the occupancy permit has not been issued.

Visa processing does not always follow your calendar, so the terms cover the usual surprises:

  • Visa or admission refused: no refund – the €200 reservation is kept
  • Visa delayed: move your start date once, free of charge, by up to 2 months
  • You do not sign the lease by the deadline, withdraw or cancel before move-in: the €200 is kept
  • Occupancy permit not issued, so we cannot provide the accommodation: 100 % refund of the €200 and everything you have paid

Arriving in Prague: the last 14 days and move-in day

Fourteen days before move-in, you pay the first month's rent by bank transfer and upload proof of study and your liability insurance. In a twin studio we introduce you to your flatmate. You book a move-in slot from Monday to Saturday and can change it up to 24 hours before.

From Václav Havel Airport allow about 55–65 minutes by public transport, with two or three changes. We hand over the studio with a short protocol and meter readings and register you with the foreign police the same day. The lift takes your suitcases up; the storage room has lockable boxes for them.

Money: one euro price, everything included

The contract currency is the euro, so your budget does not depend on the koruna exchange rate. Rent covers water, heating, electricity, waste and fibre internet up to 2 Gb/s, with no year-end settlement and no admin, service or commission fees. The deposit is €1,000 for every studio and is refunded within 30 days after you move out. Rent is paid on the 1st of each month by bank transfer.

  • Twin place: €570 (Type 01) or €670 (Type 02) per person a month
  • Single studio: €980 (Type 01) or €1,090 (Type 02) a month

Students from Ukraine, Kazakhstan, India and other non-EU countries

If you need a long-stay visa or residence permit, the accommodation letter and the rules above matter most: the letter is free and follows the signed lease, and a delayed visa lets you move your start once for free – but a refused visa does not get the €200 back, so weigh your timing before you book. The process is the same for every nationality and fully online, our team speaks English and Czech, and you can register your residence at the address as in any flat. Once here, your contract, payments and requests are in the online resident zone.

Frequently asked questions

Can I book without seeing the studio?

Yes. Booking works entirely online; the floor plans, visualisations and photos show the real studios, and all terms are summarised clearly before you pay. If you want to see the house first, we arrange a visit or a video call within 1 working day.

What if my visa takes longer than expected?

You can move your start date once, free of charge, by up to 2 months. A refused visa, however, is not a reason for a refund – the €200 reservation is kept.

Can I pay from a bank account outside the Czech Republic?

All payments are bank transfers in euro, the contract currency. If you are not sure your bank can send a euro transfer, ask us before you book.

When do I need documents?

To apply, your passport or ID number and a photo of it. Proof of study and liability insurance are uploaded 14 days before move-in; the visa letter follows once you have signed the lease.
