Accommodation confirmation for a Czech student visa: free, within 5 working days
Rezidence Kandertova, new student housing in Prague 8 – Libeň, issues a free accommodation confirmation for your Czech student visa, in Czech and English, within 5 working days of your booking being confirmed. Please note that the €200 reservation is not refunded if your visa or university admission is refused – it is refunded only if we cannot provide the accommodation because the occupancy permit has not been issued.
How to get your accommodation confirmation for a Czech student visa
The letter is the last step of a short online booking, so you can have it before your embassy appointment – no viewing or printing; to start you only need your passport or ID number and a photo of it.
- Apply online in about 3 minutes – free: Type 01 or 02, a twin place or a single studio, a start on the 1st or 15th of a month, plus your passport or ID number and a photo of it
- Sign a short reservation agreement online and pay the €200 reservation by bank transfer within 5 days – the first part of your €1,000 deposit, not a fee
- Once the payment arrives, we reserve a specific studio, or a bed in a twin studio, within 1 working day
- Read the lease, confirm with a code from your e-mail, sign on screen and pay the remaining €800 of the deposit – by 15 November 2026 (for later bookings, within 7 days of receiving the lease)
- Once the lease is signed by both sides, your booking is confirmed and the letter follows within 5 working days
- Within 5 working days you receive your free confirmation in Czech and English
What happens if your visa is refused or late
Paying before a visa decision is a real commitment, so please read this before you book. This is a summary – the reservation agreement and the lease you sign online are binding:
- Visa or university admission refused – no refund: the €200 reservation is kept
- Visa delayed – move your start date once, free of charge, by up to 2 months
- You do not sign the lease by the deadline, withdraw, cancel for any other reason before move-in, or do not arrive – the €200 reservation is kept
- The only full refund – the €200 reservation and everything you have paid – is if we cannot provide the accommodation because the occupancy permit has not been issued; the building is under construction and being completed

What to check on any proof of accommodation
Whoever issues your document, read it before you send it. Requirements differ between embassies and change over time, so check the current list on the website of the Czech embassy or consulate where you apply and on the Ministry of the Interior's pages for foreigners. As a general check, make sure that:
Our contracts start at 6 months and can be extended. If your embassy asks for anything beyond a standard confirmation, ask us before you book.
- your name is spelled exactly as in your passport
- the full address is given – Kandertova 1131/1a, 180 00 Praha 8 – Libeň
- the dates match the stay stated in your application
- the provider and its contact details are clearly identified
- you know whether a paper original or an electronic document is needed
When to book so the letter arrives in time
Work backwards from your embassy appointment: time for your €200 transfer to arrive – international payments can take a few days – then 1 working day for us to reserve a studio, time to sign the lease and up to 5 working days for the letter.
Move-in is tentatively from 1 December 2026; the exact opening is confirmed in writing after the occupancy permit, with no rent before that. If your visa takes longer, use the free one-time shift instead of cancelling.
After arrival: registration with the foreign police
Fourteen days before move-in you upload proof of study or work and your liability insurance. On move-in day – slots run Monday to Saturday – we hand over the studio with a short protocol and meter readings and register you with the foreign police, so there is nothing for you to arrange.
Frequently asked questions
How long does it take to get the accommodation confirmation?
Up to 5 working days after your booking is confirmed – once your €200 reservation has arrived and the lease is signed by both sides.
Is the accommodation letter free?
Yes. The confirmation in Czech and English costs nothing, and the booking has no admin, service or commission fees.
Will the embassy accept your confirmation?
We cannot speak for an embassy, and requirements vary by country. Check the current rules of the embassy or consulate where you apply and the Ministry of the Interior's information for foreigners – and tell us if they need something specific.
Can I get the letter before paying anything?
No – the confirmation follows your confirmed booking: the €200 reservation and the signed lease. The reservation is part of your deposit; it is not refunded if your visa or admission is refused – only if we cannot provide the accommodation because the occupancy permit has not been issued.
Book your studio and get your visa letter within 5 working days
