Who it is for

Erasmus accommodation in Prague for exchanges of 6 months or longer

Rezidence Kandertova in Prague 8 – Libeň is Erasmus accommodation in Prague for exchanges of at least 6 months – the minimum contract is 6 months, so it suits a full exchange year or a semester followed by a longer stay, not a short single semester. A place in a brand-new twin studio, shared with one other student, costs €570 a month with all bills included, and contracts start on the 1st or 15th of a month.

Erasmus accommodation in Prague: does your exchange fit?

Check your dates before you apply – it saves time on both sides. A single-semester exchange is often shorter than six months, and we do not offer short-term stays. Move-in is tentatively planned from 1 December 2026, so the earliest stays start then.

  • You will be in Prague for 6 months or more (full year, or exchange plus a longer stay)
  • Your contract can start on the 1st or the 15th of a month
  • You can upload proof of study and liability insurance 14 days before move-in
  • If you are from outside the EU, you will need our free accommodation letter for your visa

The twin studio: the social option for exchange students

A year in a new city is easier with someone to share it with. In a twin studio you share one studio with one other person: book it together with a friend from your home university, or ask us to match you with another resident – same gender by default, similar age and, where possible, a similar programme. You meet before you sign, and 14 days before move-in we introduce you properly.

Each of you has a bed with mattress, a desk and a chair; the kitchenette and bathroom are shared by the two of you only, not by a whole floor. Twin studios are currently offered on the 2nd floor. A lounge, workspace, yoga studio and PlayStation area are in preparation.

Deposit €1,000 for every studio (€200 of it paid as the reservation). All bills included – water, heating, electricity, waste and fibre internet up to 2 Gb/s. No hidden fees. Prices and terms valid for move-in from 1 December 2026 (tentative).

One all-inclusive price to set against your Erasmus grant

If you plan your exchange budget month by month, the rent should be one monthly number too. A twin place costs €570 per person in Type 01 (20 m²) or €670 in Type 02 (27.5 m²), and that already includes water, heating, electricity, waste and fibre internet up to 2 Gb/s. No year-end settlement, no admin fees, no bills to split with your flatmate.

The deposit is €1,000 per twin place: €200 when you reserve, the remaining €800 with the lease by 15 November 2026 (for later bookings, within 7 days of receiving the lease). It is refunded within 30 days after you move out, so expect it to arrive after you are back home. If your contract starts on the 15th, the first payment covers rent only to the end of that month.

Paperwork for exchange students

To apply you only need your passport or ID number and a photo of it. Fourteen days before move-in you upload proof of study – for exchange students, the acceptance letter from your Prague host university (if you only have a nomination so far, ask us what to send) – and your liability insurance. Non-EU students get a free official confirmation of accommodation in Czech and English within 5 working days of signing the lease. On move-in day we register you with the foreign police.

Frequently asked questions

My exchange is 5 months – can I book?

Not for 5 months: the minimum contract is 6 months. If you are staying on afterwards – for an internship or a longer study period – and the total reaches 6 months, ask us whether your dates can work.

Can I be matched with a flatmate?

Yes. We match you with another resident of the same gender by default, of similar age and, where possible, a similar programme. You meet before you sign.

What happens if my exchange is cancelled?

Please note that a cancelled exchange, a refused visa or a refused university admission is not a reason for a refund: if you do not sign the lease by the deadline, withdraw or cancel before move-in, the €200 reservation is kept. The only full refund is if we cannot provide the accommodation because the occupancy permit has not been issued.

My exchange got extended – can I stay longer?

Yes, contracts can be extended. Tell us early so we can plan your studio.
