How much does student housing cost in Prague?
At Rezidence Kandertova in Prague 8, student housing costs from €570 per person a month for a place in a twin studio to €1,090 for the larger single studio, with water, heating, electricity, waste and fibre internet included. On top of the rent you pay a refundable €1,000 deposit per twin place or single studio – and nothing else: no admin, service or commission fees.
Student housing cost in Prague: the full price table
There are four options: two studio types, each as a place in a twin studio or as a whole studio for you. Every price is per month and includes all bills; EUR is the contract currency and the CZK amounts are indicative.
- Type 01 twin (20 m², shared by two): €570 per person – about 13 900 Kč
- Type 02 twin (27.5 m², shared by two): €670 per person – about 16 400 Kč
- Type 01 single (20 m², just you): €980 – about 23 900 Kč
- Type 02 single (27.5 m², just you): €1,090 – about 26 600 Kč
What you pay before you move in
The deposit is €1,000 for every twin place or single studio (about 24 400 Kč). You pay €200 of it as the reservation by bank transfer within 5 days of signing a short reservation agreement online – it is part of the deposit, not a fee. The remaining €800 is due when you sign the lease, by 15 November 2026 (for later bookings, within 7 days of receiving the lease), and your first month's rent 14 days before move-in. The deposit comes back within 30 days after you move out.
Worked example, Type 01 twin place: €200 reservation, €800 with the lease, then €570 fourteen days before move-in. Total before you arrive: €1,570, of which €1,000 is the deposit, refunded within 30 days after you move out.
Worked example, Type 01 single studio: €200 reservation, €800 with the lease, then €980. Total before you arrive: €1,980, again with €1,000 as the deposit. If your contract starts on the 15th, the first payment covers rent only until the end of that month.

What is already in the price
The monthly figure is the whole housing cost. You do not pay extra for water, heating, electricity, waste or fibre internet up to 2 Gb/s, and there is no year-end settlement that could bring a surprise bill. There are no admin, service or commission fees and no micro-payments.
What you do arrange yourself: liability insurance, which is required and uploaded 14 days before move-in, plus your bedding and personal things. The studio itself comes furnished.
Budget checklist for any Prague rental
Whichever offer you compare, ask the same questions so you see the real monthly total rather than just the rent.

Choosing the option that fits your budget
If the lowest monthly cost is the priority, a Type 01 twin place at €570 is the option to look at. Over the minimum six-month contract that adds up to €3,420 in rent, with no bills on top. A Type 02 twin gives two people more space for €670 each. If you need a room of your own, a Type 01 single studio costs €980 a month, or €5,880 over six months; the Type 02 single at €1,090 adds 7 m² of living room, but there are only five of them.
