Student housing near VŠE Prague: run the numbers before you sign
Rezidence Kandertova in Prague 8 – Libeň is about 28–33 minutes door to door from VŠE, the Prague University of Economics and Business at náměstí W. Churchilla, by tram 3 or 24 and bus 135. A twin place costs €570 a month and a single studio €980, with water, heating, electricity, waste and 2 Gb/s internet already in the price. Move-in is tentatively from 1 December 2026.
From Libeň to náměstí W. Churchilla
Your morning starts with a 5-minute walk to the U Kříže tram stop. Trams 3 and 24 reach Florenc in 11 minutes, where bus 135 continues to Náměstí Winstona Churchilla, two minutes from the university – about 28–33 minutes door to door. Alternatively, take metro C one stop from Florenc to Hlavní nádraží and walk. By bike it is roughly 20–25 minutes (an estimate); secure parking for bikes and scooters is listed among the outdoor facilities in preparation.

Deposit €1,000 for every studio (€200 of it paid as the reservation). All bills included – water, heating, electricity, waste and fibre internet up to 2 Gb/s. No hidden fees. Prices and terms valid for move-in from 1 December 2026 (tentative).
The one-off items: deposit and first month
The deposit is €1,000 – the same for a twin place as for a single studio. You pay €200 of it as the reservation after signing the reservation agreement (part of the deposit, not a fee), the remaining €800 when you sign the lease – by 15 November 2026 (for later bookings, within 7 days of receiving the lease) – and your first month's rent 14 days before move-in. We refund the deposit within 30 days after you move out.
Contracts start on the 1st or 15th of a month; start on the 15th and the first payment covers rent only until the month ends.
Twin or single: the per-head maths
A Type 01 studio has 20 m²: a hall, a private bathroom and a 12.8 m² living room with kitchenette. On your own it costs €980 a month; shared as a twin it costs €570 each. Two classmates pay €1,140 for the whole studio and each saves €410 a month against a single – €4,920 over a 12-month contract.
Each resident has their own bed, desk and chair; kitchen and bathroom are shared by two, not by a whole floor. Apply with a friend, or ask us to match you – same gender by default, similar age and where possible a similar programme. Twin places are currently offered on the 2nd floor.
Karlín for internships and part-time jobs
Many economics students work alongside their degree. Karlín is a district full of offices, and Křižíkova or Florenc are about 13–16 minutes away by tram 3 or 24 with no change. Your tram to VŠE passes Florenc anyway, so office and seminar fit into one day.
A euro contract in a koruna city
The contract currency is the euro; the koruna amounts on our website (13 900 Kč for a twin place, 23 900 Kč for a single) are indicative. You owe the euro figure, so paying from a koruna account means the amount in Kč depends on the exchange rate. Rent is due on the 1st of each month by bank transfer with your variable symbol; contract and payments are in your online resident zone.

Frequently asked questions
Is the price fixed for the whole contract?
The website states one fixed monthly price in euro with every bill included and no year-end settlement, so higher energy prices do not add a utility bill. The binding terms are in the contract you read and sign online – if you want to check a clause first, ask us.
Can I pay rent from a foreign bank account?
Rent is paid by bank transfer on the 1st of each month with your variable symbol. If you plan to pay from an account outside the Czech Republic, ask us about the details at info@homerealestate.cz.
What is the minimum stay?
6 months, with extension possible. We do not offer short-term stays.
Can I share a twin studio with a VŠE classmate?
Yes – apply together and tell us in the form, and we keep you together. Each of you pays €570 a month.
Reserve a twin place for your VŠE semesters
The only amount you pay up front is the €200 reservation, and it counts towards your deposit. Applying is free, takes about three minutes and binds you to nothing until you sign the reservation agreement.
