Karlín is about 15 minutes away – tram 3 or 24 from U Kříže runs direct to Křižíkova in 8 minutes and to Florenc in 11, about 13–16 minutes door to door.
Three ways to Karlín from Libeň
Tram: walk five minutes to U Kříže and take tram 3 or 24 direct to Křižíkova (8 minutes) or Florenc (11 minutes) – about 13–16 minutes door to door, no change. In the morning timetable the two lines together left U Kříže roughly every four minutes.
Walk: head down through Pod Korábem park to the Vltava and follow the river to Maniny park – 1.4 km, about 22 minutes – and you are at the edge of Karlín. Bike: the same stretch takes about 5 minutes; to Křižíkova or Florenc allow roughly 12–15 minutes (an estimate, not a timed route).

Karlín for work, cafés and riverside evenings
Karlín is where a lot of Prague works, meets and spends its evenings – offices, cafés, restaurants and the riverside. Living just outside it, you reach your Karlín desk or dinner table in a short tram ride and come home to a house next to Pod Korábem park.
Studying rather than working? The Faculty of Mathematics and Physics at Sokolovská 83 is about 15–17 minutes away on the same direct tram to Křižíkova, followed by a 2-minute walk.

Who chooses to live near Karlín, not in it
Young professionals at Karlín offices who want a place of their own without paying for a Karlín address. MFF Karlín students who need a desk, fast internet and a short commute. Newcomers to Prague who want a furnished studio, one fixed price in euro and an English-speaking team that registers them with the foreign police at move-in.
If you work full-time, a single studio is usually the natural fit. Type 01 has 20.0 m² with a 12.8 m² living room and kitchenette; Type 02 has 27.5 m² with 19.8 m². Single studios are currently offered on the 5th floor.
Affordable housing near Karlín: one all-inclusive price

Florenc bus station for weekend trips
Florenc bus station is on the same tram line: tram 3 or 24 direct to Florenc in 11 minutes, then a 2–4 minute walk – about 18–20 minutes door to door. So a Friday-evening coach out of Prague does not mean crossing the city with your bag.
