Student housing near University of New York in Prague: your own studio

If you want student housing near University of New York in Prague with a studio of your own, Rezidence Kandertova in Prague 8 – Libeň is about 32–38 minutes from UNYP on Londýnská by public transport, via Florenc and Muzeum. A brand-new single studio with its own kitchenette and bathroom costs €980 a month with all bills included, and the whole process – from application to visa letter – runs online with an English-speaking team.

From Libeň to Londýnská

Walk five minutes to the U Kříže stop, take tram 3 or 24 to Florenc, metro C to Muzeum and metro A one stop to Náměstí Míru, then about five minutes on foot to Londýnská. The official PID journey planner puts that at about 32–38 minutes door to door on a weekday. By bike it is roughly 25–30 minutes – an estimate, with a climb up to Vinohrady.

An all-English process

The whole process runs online, and our team speaks English. The application takes about 3 minutes in 2 steps – free; you need your passport or ID number and a photo of it. You then sign a short reservation agreement and pay the €200 reservation by bank transfer within 5 days. Once it arrives, a real person reserves a specific studio for you within 1 working day; you read the key terms and sign the lease online with a code sent by e-mail.

If you need a visa, we issue a free confirmation of accommodation in English and Czech within 5 working days – on paper for the embassy or electronically for applications filed in Czechia. Once you live here, your contract, payments and requests are in the online resident zone, and the team answers in English.

Student housing near UNYP: a private studio, not a shared dorm room

Student housing often means a shared bedroom, a bathroom down the corridor and a kitchen used by the whole floor. A single studio at Kandertova is the whole 20 m² for you: a fully tiled bathroom with a rain shower, a fitted kitchenette with hob, fridge and sink, built-in wardrobes, a bed with mattress, a desk and a chair. Want more room? Type 02 has 27.5 m² for €1,090 a month.

The building was rebuilt from the inside out in 2022–2026, so you will be the first person to live in your studio.

Your budget in euro, with koruna for reference

The euro is the contract currency; koruna amounts are indicative. A single studio in Type 01 is €980 (about 23 900 Kč), in Type 02 €1,090 (about 26 600 Kč). Sharing with a friend? A twin place is €570 (13 900 Kč). Water, heating, electricity, waste and fibre internet up to 2 Gb/s are included – no year-end settlement, no admin, service or commission fees.

The deposit is €1,000, of which €200 is the reservation. The remaining €800 is paid when you sign the lease, by 15 November 2026 (for later bookings, within 7 days of receiving the lease), the first month 14 days before move-in, and the deposit is refunded within 30 days after you move out.

Arriving: from the airport to your door

Václav Havel Airport is about 55–65 minutes away by public transport, with two to three changes. When you land, take trolleybus 59 to Nádraží Veleslavín, metro A to Můstek, metro B to Invalidovna and a tram to U Kříže.

You book a move-in slot from Monday to Saturday to match your arrival. We hand over the studio with a short protocol and meter readings and register you with the foreign police – nothing for you to arrange. Bring bedding and personal things; the rest is already in the studio.
